State Scholarships

Robert “Bob” Reeves Scholarship

In honor of Robert E. Reeves, longtime CASBO member and treasurer, this scholarship promotes continuing education and training for CASBO members.*

Sponsored by the Associate Member Committee, this program offers $1,000 to a current member from each CASBO Section.

Eligibility, Terms & Conditions:

  • Available to current CASBO members whose section has an active Associate Member Section Liaison*
  • Who has not received this scholarship within the past five (5) years; AND
  • Who meets one (1) of the following requirements:
    • Must be enrolled in an education program which will lead to or promote progress within a school business profession as a CBO or other School Business Professional at the elementary, secondary or community college levels; or
    • Must be employed in the education field with a desire to expand your knowledge related to a school business profession as a CBO or other School Business Professional; or
    • Must be a post-graduate candidate in a school business profession at a college or university in support of CBO or other School Business Professional training.

Note: Preference is given to those applicants pursuing formal education or professional certification

Women in Leadership Conference Scholarship

Apply for a chance to receive a scholarship covering the cost of registration for WIL Conference, a $895 value!

Provided by SchoolsFirst Plan Administration, this program allows 11 school business professionals an opportunity to attend the Women in Leadership Conference in Huntington Beach on February 27-28, 2025.

Eligibility, Terms & Conditions:

  • Applicants must be a current Organizational Subscription member.
  • Scholarship is non-transferable and valid on registration for 2025 only.
  • Recipients are responsible for covering additional costs, including travel and lodging.

Applications are now open through Fri., Dec. 6, 2024. Winners will be announced the week of December 16, 2024.

CASBO Con AMC Scholarship

Apply for a chance to receive a scholarship covering the cost of registration for CASBO Con 25, a $1,000 value!

Provided by the Associate Member Committee (AMC), this program allows 15 school business professionals an opportunity to attend our next annual conference.

Eligibility, Terms & Conditions:

  • Applicants must be a current Organizational Subscription member.
  • Scholarship is non-transferable and valid on registration for 2025 only.
  • Recipients are responsible for covering additional costs, including travel, lodging, individual ticketed events, and meals.
  • Prior Annual Conference scholarship recipients are not eligible.

Applications are now open through Fri., Jan. 31, 2025. Winners will be announced the week of February 24, 2025.

CASBO Section Scholarships

2024 San Diego/Imperial Section Presidents’ Scholarship

Sponsored by the San Diego/Imperial Section Board of Directors, this program awards $500 to four (4) Section members for use on continuing education and career growth.

Candidates must be:

  • A current CASBO San Diego/Imperial Section member
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in a continuing education program
